We as humans are dumb... We do anything for money, and i mean anything even if it means killing people, even destroying whole civilisations... we want something and we don't care how many people we hurt getting it.
This happens all the time, Tribes in the Amazon, dying out because of deforestation... people in poverty, its because we refuse to help, we want what we already have, but by keeping it we hurt people. It happens with Animals too, you know every mobile phone contributes to the death of orangutangs.
